Graduate Students

The Department of Computer Science offers Master's and PhD degrees in Computer Science. Optional Master Degree concentrations are available in Software Engineering, Data Science, and in Cybersecurity.

Our Master's students complete 30 hours (about 2 years) of challenging and exciting course work in which students explore the breadth and depth of computer science. The Master's degree culminates in a comprehensive exam, project, or Master's thesis. The Master's program prepares students for advanced positions in research and development.

In addition to completing advanced course work, our PhD students work side-by-side with our faculty to conduct cutting-edge research in a variety of different areas. The alumni of our PhD program now work as faculty or as independent researchers in industry or academia.
